Premium reusable earplugs for hunting and shooting. The mechanical impulse filter activates at loud bangs, then stays open between shots so you can hear speech and ambient sound without removing them. Sordin SmartEar Impulse are easy to carry, so you are more likely to have some protection with you when it counts.

Safety note: for optimal hearing protection, use proper over-ear hearing protectors, and not as a replacement. Sordin SmartEar Impulse can be used in combination with a Sordin Supreme active hearing protections for even more protection.

The Sordin SmartEar Impulse is a rare kind of smart earplug. It provides standard attenuation under normal conditions, but the moment a shot is fired, an automatic filter activates instantly to protect against harmful impulse noise.

Originally developed for military applications, the Sordin SmartEar Impulse has been field-proven by NATO soldiers. This reusable earplug is ANSI IPIL certified for impulse noise up to 166 dB, where it delivers 33 dB of attenuation.

Between shots, when impulse noise is not present, the earplug’s passive standard mode provides 19 dB SNR—allowing voice and ambient sounds to be heard with minimal occlusion effect.
